iRiE KiDZ® Foundation’s ‘The Biz’ receives an award for its dedicated participation and invaluable contribution to the University of Technology (UTECH), Jamaica’s Co-operative Education programme.
Co-operative Education refers to a structured programme which facilitates students’ integration of classroom learning with relevant on-the-job work experiences, which are related to their courses of study and career goals.
The Co-op Ed programme encompasses modules such as internship, practicum, industrial attachment and work experience.
‘The Biz’ is iRiE KiDZ® Foundation’s specialist skills training and development programme which exposes students and unemployed youth to business and practical assignments, under the guidance of industry professionals. The vision of ‘The Biz’ is to build skills and confidence among students, equipping them with the relevant knowledge and experience to transition from school, or unemployment to work.
